Laboratory for Glass Processing Technology †

Center for Glass Science and Technology was established in School of Engineering, The University of Shiga Prefecture, on 1st April 2007.
In this center, a new laboratory, Laboratory for Glass Processing Technology, has just started with a term limit of three years. (extension possible)
This laboratory is sponsored by Nippon Electric Glass Co. Ltd..

Ongoing research at Laboratory for Glass Processing Technology focuses on various kinds of problems concerning on glass processing.

  • Redox states in high temperature glass melts
  • Brittle fracture, and Flow mechanisms of inorganic glasses
